Without stamps
and stencils

Muehltal, August 21, 2014 – The wood processing industry is faced with numerous international regulations for product marking. In addition to the legally required marking with the CE and IPPC seal the trade urges more information about source and manufacturer of the product as well as information to trace the products. The German Coding and Marking specialist REA JET has developed industry-specific marking solutions that make stamps and stencils redundant.

At the wood fair in September in Klagenfurt (September 4 to 7), the Timber Expo in Birmingham (October 7 to 8) and at the Ligna next year REA JET shows robust systems that are suitable for use in rough environments. All systems realize effective, contact-free marking of products and can be used either as a stand-alone operated system or controlled by a central computer. The change of the print data is possible at any time without interrupting the production. The print range includes numbers, text, graphics and important for traceability, 1D barcode and 2D Data Matrix codes that allow an acceleration and automation of production and play an increasingly important role in the modern business world.

On the REA JET booth Large Character Printers with seven, 16 or 32 nozzles are presented, which tolerate changing environmental conditions, vibration and extreme temperature fluctuations. A housing with IP65 protection class protects the REA JET system from moisture and dirt. The reliable marking is possible at product speeds up to 300 meters per minute, even in an environment loaded with sawdust.

For the high resolution product marking REA has various ink jet and laser systems in the program. Visitors can still expect to see the maintenance free, HP-based REA JET HR and GK printers at the exhibition booth. The GK printer, equipped with piezo technology, can generate markings up to 100mm high. At the trade fair wooden rulers are personalized for booth visitors with ink jet and laser and marked with Data Matrix code. In use is a high resolution HP-based ink jet printing system and a CO2 laser system for crisp marking on wood.

Additionally, for marking of smooth and rough surfaces a wide range of special inks in different colors is available. For labeling applications in the wood sector REA JET has its own labeling solutions. As a full service supplier REA JET can provide hardware, software and consumables, as well as offer project solutions and therefore also implement individual, customer-specific applications.
